J. Cooper Chamberlain studied at the Boston Museum School of Art. Her work in Raku is exhibited in many galleries, shops, and private homes across the country. She resides in Tennessee. Of her work she says: "My interpretation of the Raku technique involves three separate fires. At the final stage I transfer each piece, at peak temperature (2000° F) to a separate container where it is flamed and smoked, causing the metallic glazes to become irridescent as the crackle glaze develops."
