Day Hill Fine Art, located in the village of North Falmouth, is open year 'round. This Fine Art Gallery specializes in original oil paintings and limited edition Giclée reproductions by celebrated artist, Julia O'Malley-Keyes. Luminous oil paintings of Cape Cod landscapes, harbors, beaches and traditional works depicting classic yacht regattas as well as commissioned portraits and paintings are available. Prints may be purchased on-line at www.dayhillfineart.com Town of Falmouth will tell you a bit about Falmouth and how the town works. Falmouth Chamber of Commerce will tell you a more about Falmouth, especially the many things there are to do in Falmouth. Woods Hole Scientific Community includes: the Marine Biological Laboratory, the Sea Education Association and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Note: This site is a framed site. There is much very interesting information here, but you may have to close your browser and re-open it when you leave to remove the Woods Hole Oceanographic frames from your browser window. Cape Cod Fiddlers offers a quick view of a great group of local fiddlers (don't miss the rogues gallery) along with samples of their music and how to get in touch if you're planning an event that could benefit from some good music. Doug Rugh is a contemporary realist oil painter trained in the materials and methods of the old masters. He has some excellent samples of his work on his site. Once you've gotten an eyeful of some great work in oil, check out his links pages. These include Art Supplies, Materials information, and Art Forums on the web, in addition to other artists and galleries. Hillary Osborn is one of the rising stars of the Upper Cape. Take a look at her site and you'll see why. Jane Lincoln is another local artist with some good work that's definitely worth taking a look at. Sculptureman features West Falmouth sculptor Michael Ernst. The site takes a lighthearted look at the sculpture and the people behind it. Jan Collins Selman Fine Art Gallery is on Main Street in Falmouth. Both Gallery and CyberGallery are open year round. Cape Cod CyberGallery of Fine Art features Lindholm-Rowley Gallery in Dennis. The site also has some good links to other Cape Cod visual art sites. Don't miss the Cape Cod Canal Tunnel photo (link from the main page). Wycoff Studio features the paintings of Cape artist Karol B. Wyckoff. The images are slow to load, but worth the wait. Warning: Java required. Christie Velasig is a well known local artist and teacher living in Falmouth, Ma. Her paintings are well executed, and primarily oils of New England architecture, Cape Cod landscapes, still lifes, and marine art. Eyes That See Photography Jeanetta Hodges is an Arts-Cape alumni, now living in Oregon. While she does great wedding, graduation, and other event photographs, she also does some great wildlife, travel, and landscape photography. Visit Alaska, Australia, the Southwest, Northeast, Cape Cod, and more from her site. Lugansk Art Gallery - is a "selling paintings" art gallery offering remarkable drawings, sculpture and paintings for sale from the Ukraine. Definitely worth a visit. Photography Atelier website "is a unique portfolio-making course for artists in any photographic medium, (black and white, color, slides or prints, print-making, alternative processes, video, or electronic imaging), who feel ready to produce an emotionally and intellectually focussed body of work." This is one of the Radcliffe Seminars at Radcliffe Institute of Advanced Study at Harvard University. If you are interested in photography, these are "students" you've got to meet! Soho Gallery is a great place to see what's happening in the Australian visual art scene. Paintings, Sculpture, Photography, Installation Art . . . In addition to a large number of artists, they have monthly Exhibits to feature individuals more extensively. They also have an extensive world-wide links section. European Art Gallery has work that ranges from hard to find lithographs to some of the finest original preliminary study pieces created by the top artists of our time - Picasso, Chagall, and Miro - for example. They've also got collectibles. Great compendium of sites you'll want to check for everything, including the Arts, in New England. Birdsnest Gallery in Bar Harbor, Maine presents an interesting and accomplished group of artists, many of whom are New England based. They also have a clean and attractive website. Palace Galleries is a classically oriented New York Gallery specializing in Fine Art and Museum Quality Antiques Since 1970. SeaCrest Trading Company - Philippines Handicrafts. Specializing in handicraft products from the Philippines. Unique and unusual import gifts. Shellcraft, wood carvings, bamboo, and more. US Based. The Digital Michaelangelo Project: Using laser rangefinder technology, together with algorithms developed at Stanford for combining multiple range and color images, a team of 30 faculty, staff, and students from Stanford University and the University of Washington spent the 1998-99 academic year in Italy scanning the sculptures and architecture of Michelangelo. This web site tells the story. Duxbury Art Association at The Ellison Center for the Arts in Duxbury, MA offers more than 40 classes and workshops each semester and produces several exhibitions are presented each year including the Winter Juried Show from February to April at The Art Complex Museum, a Craft Showcase & Sale in November and a Midsummer Art & Craft Show in July. A showplace to visit; see their site for more information. Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York has a very nicely put together and very extensive web site. Sawtooth Center for Visual Art in Winston Salem, North Carolina, is jammed with interesting ideas for art teachers and art organizations. aRT wEB Community contains a very comprehensive list of art web sites. Using their search facility to search for an artist will only find those artists whose work is sold by Ad-Lines, however clicking on their Art Web Community link gets you to a page that lets you search for Artists, Galleries, Framers, Art Supplies, etc. Be warned; the lists are HUGE! Internet Art Resources Features some fine visual artists and galleries, and has links to over 4600 other artist and gallery sites on the web. They also have articles of interest and forums. We don't qualify to be listed because we don't have a physical presence. But pay them a visit anyway! NEarts.com A Guide to Contemporary Art in New England. The name speaks for itself. A good place to visit, and a good page of links. Art Now Gallery Guide has extensive listings of artists and galleries as well as classifieds, Art Fairs, Links, and a bookstore. 1x.com Chris Maher has an extensive list of Art related sites here. You could spend days browsing. And just as important are his extensive pages of information about displaying and selling art online. You might start here. And don't miss Small is Beautiful. Art Quarter's Galleries "present modern, realistic, or naive painting for your delight. Journals will entertain and educate" says Dr. Werner Stuerenburg, owner of this site from Germany. ArtWanted.com is a new site (opened in March, 1999) with an impressive number of fine artists and Galleries. Worth a visit. Art Random has a fascinating concept. You click on a number (of seconds) on their main page. They then display randomly selected images for that number of seconds, then replace those images with new ones. Check it out.
